The first post, feel the excitement!

So, this is it. My first ever blog post. After thinking about starting one for so long, I'm finally here. I never expected was that a class in writing would be the push to get me to this place. I always associated blogs with poor grammar, and way to many details into people’s personal lives. But the more I think about, the more it makes sense, and the more I realize how helpful a log could be in becoming a better writer. Writing class, writing a blog, there is a definite connection. So since this is new and new things deserve a proper introduction, I guess I should start off with a little bit about me...

My name is Katelynn (yes, there should be two n's, it's not a typo), but everyone calls me Katie. I am 15 years old, but I can act much younger or older depending on my mood. My hobbies include dance, crafting, reading, cooking, and watching movies and television. I like adventures, long car rides, inside jokes, and meaningful discussions that evolved from a joke or comment that is made in passing. I also like going out to dinner, exploring new places, and rainy days spent indoors. The list of things I don't like isn't as long, but includes diet soda, texting, and knee pain. I enjoy, maybe even love, school work and projects, but strongly dislike tests and deadlines.

I guess that's all I have to say for now. I'll add more as I think of things to say.
